Gutshot in poker was a poker club, internet cafe, and bar located on Clerkenwell Road in London. It opened in March 2004 and closed in 2007. It was founded by Barry Martin and Derek Kelly.

Side pot

The side pot is a special poker situation where players do not have enough chips to cover the bet in full. They instead move all in for the amount in front of them, and the extra chips are placed into the side pot. For example, a player may have 30,000 chips and three players call their continuation bet of 2000 each. Another player may fold and lose the main pot, but the side pot still has $50.

Betting intervals

Kicker

The Kicker in poker is a side card used to break ties between players with the same hands. For example, in a game of Texas Hold’em, a player with an AK would outkick a player with an AK-6-6-Q. This would make the AK-high flush the stronger hand, while the queen would be the weaker.

Community card games

Community card games like poker require less skill than other casino games. In these games, players are dealt two kinds of cards – the “hole” cards and the “community cards.” The hole cards are used to make the best poker hand, while the community cards are used by all the players.
